Minister of Communications and Government of Accord Milad Maatouq discussed with the Italian Ambassador to Libya Giuseppe Puccino the project of implementing the new Amsaad-Ras Agadir road, which comes within the friendship agreement between Libya and Italy.

The ministry said that the two sides discussed in the meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Communications, in the presence of the chairman and members of the Libyan side, the Libyan-Italian Joint Committee in charge of following up the road implementation project, how to solve the obstacles facing the implementation of the project in all its aspects.

The meeting discussed the need to find the necessary solutions to enable the contracted companies to implement part or parts of the project to start implementation in addition to taking the necessary procedures to contract the implementation of the rest of the sectors and the required designs and procedures to put the project in a tender.

For his part, the Italian ambassador affirmed his efforts with his government to enable the Italian and Libyan sides to meet soon and overcome the difficulties that hinder the work of the committee.
